DIY: Family Fun Craft Ideas For Thanksgiving – Thanksgiving will be here before you know it! Holiday crafts are always a fun family experience and can make great decorations. We’ve found two DIY Thanksgiving crafts for you to try with your family this year! Check them out below:

Foam Turkeys – With only a few materials needed and a little adult preparation, these foam turkeys are a great way to get in the Thanksgiving spirit and make fun decorations!

Materials needed: foam balls — (1) 2″ for body, (1) 1 1/2″ for head, (1) 1 1/2″ for feet, dark brown spray paint (or craft paint), mini googly eyes, paper straws in green, yellow and orange, craft glue, scissors, knife and ruler

Directions: Cut the foam balls in half for turkey’s feet and then paint brown for head, feet and body. Use a brown straw to attach turkey’s head and feet. Add other colored feathers and googly eyes to complete the turkey!

Fingerprint Turkey – Keep everyone occupied with this fun craft that allows you to personalize anything from printed paper to party favors!

Materials needed: white card stock, circle cutter, acrylic craft paint (brown, orange, yellow) permanent markers (red, orange, brown) pint-sized paper to-go containers or printed paper

Directions: Separate the paint on paper plates and let the crafters dip their fingerprints in the paint and have them press them onto the cardstock to create the turkey’s feathers. Use their thumb to create the turkey’s body. After dried, add eyes and a mouth with the permanent markers!
